Roast chicken is one of the most popular barbecue dishes because everyone loves it and it's not difficult to make.
However, it does happen very often that the chicken is overcooked, and then dry is not at all appealing.
This happens because sometimes, when checking how cooked the meat is, we find a part of the chicken that has received less heat and is therefore still raw, and by leaving it longer, we ruin it.
On the other hand, it also happens the other way around: we remove it in time, but some part of the chicken is not ready yet.
Rotisseries' rotating spits were created to solve this problem. Thanks to their slow rotation, they ensure that all the chicken meat is cooked to perfection, as it is exposed to the heat equally.
Best of all, we optimize the flow of juices within the piece of meat itself, thanks to the slow rotation of the spit... creating unparalleled flavor and tenderness.
Turn your charcoal barbecue into a professional grill with this Weber rotisserie.
It is very easy to install, and also to use.
1 – Prepare your barbecue for indirect cooking, that is, with a few charcoal briquettes, placed to the sides.
2 – Place an aluminum tray with a little water in it next to the briquettes. The tray will collect any dripping fat, preventing flare-ups or excessive smoke. At the same time, as the water evaporates, the juices return to the meat and infuse it with flavor.
3 – Brush the chicken with a little butter and season with rosemary and thyme
4 – Pierce it with the skewer and hold it with a fork on each side.
5 – Place the spit in place and turn on the rotisserie motor.
6 – Close the lid. Now all you have to do is relax and let the grill spin…
7 - After about an hour, check the internal temperature of the chicken with a digital pocket thermometer. Perfectly cooked chicken is 74°C.
You now have a perfectly roasted chicken, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, infused with that classic smoky charcoal barbecue flavor!
