The traditional taste of Salinas, California barbecue sauce.
In California, they have a special ability to turn anything that isn't originally Californian into something special with a little twist. This is also what happened with the famous California Hot sauce. The inspiration for this sauce initially came from the spicy Sriracha sauce, which was originally developed in Thailand and later brought to America by a Chinese immigrant from Vietnam.
Fruity Chili Peppers. In our own version of California Style Hot Sauce, we wanted to recapture the heat of Sriracha while retaining the delicious fruity flavor of chili peppers. We achieved this by incorporating no less than 30% freshly ground chili peppers into the sauce. You can clearly taste the combination of red and green jalapeños, smoky chipotle, and fresh red bell peppers. The sauce goes well with numerous dishes, such as pan-fried chicken wings, a meatball, and as a glaze for BBQ ribs. But a drizzle of the sauce can also complete a California sushi roll, an oyster, or an avocado sandwich.
