However, it is not so easy to prepare pizzas that are truly rich in texture and flavor.
Get this professional pizza set from Broil King, and follow these tips for the perfect pizza:
1) It's a cliché, but the secret is in the dough. Forget about buying pre-made dough from the supermarket. It's time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Making homemade pizza dough is easier than you think, and it really makes a difference.
The ideal proportions are 300 grams of flour, 170 ml of water, 6 grams of yeast, 10 grams of salt and a tablespoon of olive oil.
Dissolve the yeast in the water; place the flour and salt in a bowl; make a well in the center and add the water, yeast, and oil until you have a firm dough. Let it rest for an hour before starting to knead.
2) The second most important ingredient is the tomato. Of course, homemade is also preferable. A delicious sofrito recipe is this: 300 g peeled tomatoes, 60 g tomato puree, 1 small onion, 1 or 2 garlic cloves, 100 ml oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper to taste.
But if you're short on time, we recommend choosing the tomato you buy at the supermarket that's as concentrated as possible, and of course, low in acidity. Choose a brand you trust.
3) The fresher the mozzarella and the rest of the ingredients, the better.
4) Bake . Turn the grill to full heat, place the pizza stone on the grill, and close the lid. Let it heat up for at least 10 minutes, until the grill thermometer reads about 250°C.
Once the stone is hot, turn off the burner underneath if you're using a gas grill, or move it away from direct heat if you're using a charcoal grill.
Thus, the movement of heat is circular and we create an ideal oven effect.
