How to clean a gas barbecue

If you've been asking yourself this question from the start, that's a good sign; it means you take the care of your barbecue seriously.

You should know that there are two types of cleaning: daily, about 5 minutes before each use, and occasional, more thorough cleaning.

For daily cleaning, all you need is a brush like this one.

Turn the grill on full blast and close the lid, allowing any food scraps to char and fall into the drip tray.

Using a stiff bristle brush, scrape the surface of the grill to remove all traces of grime. This will only take a couple of minutes.

Which brush to choose?

The most important thing is that they have hard blades. If they're made of stainless steel, even better. There are many available on the market, in different shapes and sizes.

The most popular are the T-shaped ones, because they offer two positions: the wide one covers a large area of the grill with each movement. The narrow one is used to clean the corners of the grill and between the rods.

Consider the dimensions of your barbecue when purchasing a brush. It's important to have a long handle so you can easily reach all corners. However, you don't need to get a very large brush if you have a medium-sized barbecue, as it can be cumbersome.

Finally, the handle must also be robust and resistant to high temperatures.
