Gas hose and regulator + clamps

Most barbecues come with their own gas connector, as is the case with Weber barbecues and Broil King barbecues, which have their own connector included with the barbecue.

This is not the case for Forge Adour griddles, which do not come with a gas connector and therefore must be purchased separately.

This is the butane gas installation kit distributed by Forge Adour. It includes a gas hose, regulator (shower head), and two clamps, which are used to secure each end of the hose: one to the griddle and the other to the gas cylinder.

This is a universal kit, meaning it will also work if you have a grill from another brand or a barbecue from another brand.

For example, if you have a barbecue that's more than 5 years old, you may have trouble finding an official replacement gas connector, or you may find the price too high.

In this case, you can opt for a hose + regulator kit like this one, as the clamps attach the hose to the connecting valves.

Remember to change the gas connector on your griddle or barbecue every five years, as this component suffers considerable wear and tear from use and high temperatures. A damaged gas regulator can cause leaks. Besides being dangerous, this means losing power to the burners.

Proper installation is very important. To check for leaks, there's a very easy trick: put a little soapy water over the two connection valves. Turn on the gas and see if bubbles appear.

If bubbles appear, there's a leak; turn off the gas supply and reinstall the hose. Repeat this check until no more bubbles form.
